Mamata Shinagde is an Indian contemporary artist whose work reflects a profound engagement with the interconnectedness of humanity and the natural world. Inspired by the rhythms of nature and the quiet freedom found in wild landscapes, she creates paintings that weave together personal memory, emotional sensitivity, and philosophical reflection into contemplative visual narratives.

Her artistic vision is shaped by childhood experiences near the sea and the influence of her father's philosophical outlook, both of which continue to inform her understanding of nature as a space of silence, resilience, and transformation. Through expressive compositions and nuanced colour relationships, Mamata explores the enduring dialogue between human experience and the environment, revealing the subtle emotional currents that bind them together.

A graduate of L. S. Raheja School of Art with a G.D. Art in Drawing and Painting, she also holds a Diploma in Art Education from Sir J. J. School of Art. Her work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions at Pradarshak Art Gallery, Jehangir Art Gallery, Kalakriti Art Gallery, and international exhibitions in Italy and Hyderabad, alongside regular participation in the Maharashtra State Art Exhibition and the Bombay Art Society. She is the recipient of several awards, including the Maharashtra State Art Award and honours from the Art Society of India and the Bombay Art Society.
