Mohsin Matwal is an Indian contemporary artist whose practice is inspired by a lifelong fascination with elephants and their profound presence in the natural world. Drawing upon childhood memories and years of close observation, he explores the intelligence, emotional depth, and symbolic significance of these animals through expressive figurative paintings that celebrate both their physical majesty and their enduring relationship with humanity.

A graduate in Fine Art (G.D. Art) from Bharati Vidyapeeth's College of Fine Arts, Mohsin has established himself as a distinguished portrait and wildlife artist through sustained studio practice and active engagement with the Indian art community. Alongside exhibiting his work, he has conducted painting demonstrations at institutions and cultural venues across Maharashtra, contributing to artistic dialogue and education.

His achievements include prestigious recognitions such as the Bombay Art Society Gold Medal for Best Portrait at its 122nd Annual Exhibition, the Best Portrait Award at the Society's 119th Annual Exhibition, and honours from the V. V. Oak All India Art Exhibition and Prafulla Art Foundation. These accolades reflect both his technical mastery and his sensitive understanding of form and character.
