My artistic practice is rooted in my constant engagement with nature, emotion, spirituality, and the traditions that have shaped my way of seeing the world. I am drawn to the simplicity of familiar forms and the emotions they can evoke when viewed from within. The lotus became the central subject of my recent body of work almost serendipitously. As I began contemplating its spiritual significance, I found myself increasingly drawn into its symbolism. The lotus, which emerges from water yet remains untouched by it, came to represent for me purity, resilience, inner peace, and spiritual awakening. Over time, it grew beyond being merely a subject of observation and became an intimate part of my imagination. I often envision my paintings inwardly before translating them onto the canvas. Colour, rhythm, movement, and emotion become my language. Through the Lotus Series, I explore not only the flower itself but also its leaves, stems, stalks, water, reflections, and the spaces surrounding it. Each element carries its own meaning and contributes to the larger emotional experience of the work. Although my approach is contemporary, I remain deeply connected to tradition and its symbolism. I believe that art can create a bridge between the external world and our inner selves. Through my work, I seek to create moments of stillness—an opportunity for the viewer to pause, feel, and perhaps discover something within themselves. For me, painting is not simply an act of representation. It is a process of looking inward, allowing emotions and imagination to take form, and finding beauty and meaning in the simplest elements of life.
