I am Rohit Gupta, a visual artist and art educator with a deep passion for
portraiture and figurative art. My artistic practice revolves around exploring
human emotions, identity, and the silent stories that lie beneath facial
expressions. I believe that every face carries an untold narrative, and through
my paintings, I strive to capture those emotions that words often fail to express.
Working primarily in realistic and contemporary styles, I use colour, texture,
light, and composition to create artworks that evoke thought and emotional
connection. My inspiration comes from everyday life, human relationships,
memories, and the psychological depth of individuals. Each artwork is a journey
of observation, patience, and introspection, allowing me to translate inner
feelings into visual form.
Alongside my artistic practice, I work as an art educator, where I encourage
young minds to explore creativity with confidence and curiosity. Teaching has
enriched my own artistic vision by constantly reminding me of the importance
of imagination, experimentation, and lifelong learning.
For me, art is more than creating beautiful images—it is a language of emotions,
a means of self-discovery, and a bridge between the artist and the viewer.
Through every painting, I hope to inspire reflection, empathy, and meaningful
conversations.

My journey as an artist began with a fascination for drawing and portraiture at a
young age. This passion gradually evolved into a dedicated pursuit of Fine Arts,
leading me to complete my academic training and specialize in portrait
painting. Throughout my education, I developed a strong foundation in drawing,
composition, colour theory, and various painting techniques, while continuously
exploring new artistic approaches.
Over the years, I have balanced my career as both a practicing artist and an art
educator. Teaching has provided me with valuable experiences, allowing me to
nurture creativity in students while continuing to grow through my own artistic
practice. I believe that learning never stops, and every artwork contributes to my
evolution as an artist.
My work has been exhibited in various group exhibitions and art events,
including prestigious venues such as Jehangir Art Gallery through the Art
Society of India Exhibition and the Monsoon Art Show at Nehru Centre, Mumbai.
I have also participated in art camps, workshops, and live demonstrations,
where I had the opportunity to interact with fellow artists and exchange creative
ideas. My artworks have received recognition through national and international
exhibitions and awards, encouraging me to continue exploring new concepts
and pushing the boundaries of my artistic expression.
Today, my artistic journey continues with the same curiosity and dedication that
inspired me in the beginning. I aspire to create meaningful artworks that
connect with people on an emotional level while contributing positively to the
contemporary art community through both my creative practice and art
education.
