Sachin Sagare (b. 1981, Pandharpur, Maharashtra) is a contemporary Indian painter whose practice draws upon memories of rural Maharashtra, devotional traditions, and the everyday lives of its people. His work is particularly informed by the women, rituals, processions, and pastoral communities he encountered growing up in the village of Wakhari near Pandharpur. Early experiences of witnessing female devotees singing and dancing in honour of Renuka Devi, accompanied by traditional instruments such as the tuntuna, became an important source for his visual imagination.

Sachin developed an interest in drawing and painting from childhood and went on to receive a Diploma in Drawing and Painting from Dalvis Art Institute, Kolhapur, in 2002, followed by a Diploma in Applied Arts from Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune, in 2004. His paintings frequently explore the expressive presence of women and the cultural rhythms of Indian life, translating memory and observation into richly composed figurative works.

He has held numerous solo exhibitions at institutions including Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai, Artisera, Bengaluru, Gallery Space at Park Hyatt, Hyderabad, and Art2Day, Pune. His work has also been presented at India Art Festival, Artisera, Gallery Vision, Verandah Art Gallery, Cymroza Art Gallery, and international exhibitions in Singapore and Dubai.

Sachin has received recognition from the Prafulla Dahanukar Art Foundation and has participated in artist camps and workshops across India. His practice continues to draw upon the cultural memory of rural India, transforming familiar rituals, figures, and moments into paintings that connect personal experience with a broader visual record of Indian life.
