Vivek Kumavat is an Indian contemporary painter whose practice is rooted in Indian mythology, philosophy, and the expressive potential of colour. His paintings reinterpret traditional narratives through a contemporary visual language, combining symbolic imagery with vibrant compositions that celebrate India's cultural and spiritual heritage.

Vivek received his Art Teacher Diploma from Khiroda, Jalgaon, before earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai. Since the early 2000s, he has built an extensive exhibition record through numerous solo exhibitions at venues including Jehangir Art Gallery, Nehru Centre, Triveni Kala Sangam, and other prominent galleries across India.

His work has also been presented at major international art fairs and exhibitions, including World Art Dubai, Affordable Art Fair Singapore, Affordable Art Fair London, and India Art Festival, among others. These exhibitions have established his presence within both Indian and international contemporary art circuits, while his paintings have entered private and corporate collections in India and abroad.

Recipient of several awards from Sir J. J. School of Art, the Art Society of India, and other institutions, Vivek continues to explore mythology as a living visual tradition, creating works that balance narrative depth with bold formal expression.
