Lord Shiva

This painting presents Lord Shiva as a powerful embodiment of spirituality, energy, and cosmic rhythm. The multiple hands holding damru and the surrounding trishuls create a sense of movement, vibration, and divine energy. The dominant cool blue tones represent Shiva’s calm, infinite, and meditative nature, while the touches of golden and earthy tones add warmth and spiritual richness to the composition. The serpent, rudraksha, crescent moon, and other symbolic elements strengthen the connection with Shiva’s traditional iconography. I have used texture extensively throughout the background and foreground to create depth and give every element a sense of visual connection. The layered forms and repeated motifs are not merely decorative; they work together to communicate the idea of an interconnected spiritual universe. Through this artwork, I have tried to present Shiva not only as a divine figure, but also as a symbol of balance between stillness and movement, strength and serenity, and destruction and creation. The composition reflects my contemporary approach to spirituality, where traditional symbols are brought together through colour, texture, imagination, and storytelling.
