This artwork, based on the theme “Inner Voice and Social Reality,” speaks about the growing cruelty towards animals and the imbalance created by human behavior in the natural world. All living beings follow the natural cycle of life in harmony with nature, without causing harm. It is only humans who misuse resources, destroy ecosystems, and create imbalance. We are completely dependent on nature—it is like a parent that nurtures and sustains all life. Yet, in return, we harm it, forgetting that our own existence is deeply connected to its well-being. Through this painting, I question this harsh social reality where animals suffer due to human greed, ignorance, and frustration. Forest animals are losing their homes due to destruction, while stray animals like dogs and cats—who depend on humans for survival—often face neglect and cruelty. If we cannot offer them care or food, we should at least not harm them. This thought brings a deep sense of anger and reflection within me—why do we forget our humanity? As humans, we have the awareness and responsibility to coexist, to care, and to protect all living beings. They are not separate from us; they belong to the same earth, the same life, and deserve love, respect, and dignity. The painting visually represents a female figure feeding animals, symbolizing parenting, compassion, and responsibility. She becomes a representation of care—of how humans should nurture and protect other beings. This work is an expression of my inner voice, which strongly believes in “live and let live.” Through this artwork, I hope to create awareness and reduce even a small amount of cruelty in society. If it encourages even a slight shift towards empathy and kindness, it fulfills its purpose.
