My art practice revolves around man-made discarded objects, natural elements like from of roots, leavs , grass and the tribal myths of my community, all of which share connection with death. I translate these everyday lived experiences using oil colors, etching, and mixed media. I also work on various wooden surfaces and canvases, employing techniques like glazing and tracing.
Death is a profound transition within the cyclical rhythm of nature. It holds a distinct, personal beauty that compels me to process my realizations into not abstract form.
Ultimately, my art is an extension of my daily existence, constantly dialoguing with the aesthetics of death and the realms that follow.
Born in Palghar, Maharashtra, I am an emarging artist began with an ATD from Sankalp School of Art. I pursued and completed my BFA and MFA in Portraiture Painting from the prestigious Sir J.J. School of Art.
My primary medium of expression is oil colors. tribal myths, subconscious thoughts, and non-living objects creating a narrative form. Over the years, has been recognized with 'Innovative Approach in Portrait Painting' award by Anil Naik and the prestigious 'Chitrakar Deepak R. Patil Art and Culture Foundation Award 2026'. 2025 monsoon show at Jahangir gallery, Bombay art society Awards and art society of India Awards and scholership.
My artistic inclination lies in portraiture, where I explore the realms of the subconscious, stillness, solitude, and tribal myths. Structurally and technically, my style inspired by traditions of the 'Old Bombay School', inheriting its classic studio system principles and discipline as a profound gift.
Simultaneously, I am inspired by the tribal culture of my region—its daily life, folklore, myths, and contemporary changes. To bridge these worlds and convey my concepts to the viewers, I incorporate elements from Western Expressionist masters as metaphors within my oil paintings.
